Favorite Beach Wedding Favors

A wedding favor is something you want your guests to remember your special day. A token which your guests can take to their homes and remind them of how lovely your wedding day is. Although it is optional to give away wedding favors (especially when you're on a tight budget), it is however, not a crime to give less expensive wedding favors to your guests. You can even make your own wedding favors if you like. That way you can save on your budget.

Well, here are my favorite beach wedding favors which you can choose from. Again, if you think you can do these favors yourself, try it! But do take note that if you will be the one to make your wedding favors, please do these months before your big day. You don't this to be causing you additional stress. And do ask your family and friends to help you out. One way of creating a bond between your family and friends.

Since you have chosen the beach as your wedding theme, naturally, your wedding favor will have the beach as its inspiration.

Fans
Considering that your wedding will be held at the beach, it is fitting to give away fans to your guests to ease the humidity a bit. Fans can be purchased at a low price. And you can play with colors too! Plus, you can also have your names and the date of your wedding be etched at one of the sticks of the fan.

Slippers
You can't wear your red stiletto heels on the beach! So handing out slippers to your guests is not a bad idea at all. In fact, some may actually appreciate it. Now you will probably ask me how will you know your guest's sizes. Easy! As soon as you're done making your guest list, and you have given away your wedding invitation, let them RSVP you. When they call, do ask for their shoe sizes. Or if you don't want to do that, make an estimate. It is better to have big sizes rather than small ones. Put the slippers on boxes or pails) and label them as per sizes.

Beach Must-Have Essentials
When you go to the beach, what are the things you won't forget bringing aside from your bikini? Sunscreen and lip balm, right? So having the two of them as a beach wedding favor is really great. You can place them on a draw string bag or a paper bag decorated with shells and sand.

Pail Tin Cans
I think pails are really cute, especially the small pails. You can either put mints or little pebbles or shells. Pail cans just reminds me of the beach. And I just think that giving them as wedding favors will really imbibed the beach wedding theme. Guests will never forget your wedding whenever they see the pail tin cans.

And a whole lot more to choose from.

Beach Themed Cookies (cookies shaped in board shorts, bikinis, slippers, shells, etc.), candles, stones as paper weights, decorative shells, wind chimes, parasols and so on and so forth.

When it comes to beach theme weddings, you will never ran out of ideas. So pick one and use it on your wedding day at the beach!

Wedding Invitation Ideas

vegaswedlock.com
Wedding Invitations are much more exciting to make when you have a themed wedding. Like in this case, a beach wedding theme. Wedding invitations doesn't have to be expensive. You don't need to have it printed in a fancy invitation shop, after all, weddings at the beach doesn't need to be formal.

You can even make your own beach wedding theme invitations! You just need to purchase a beautiful card-like paper, choose your own design and print it! You can also put some seashells, a bit of sand or pearls or starfish; anything that will make your invitation feels like you're heading for the beach.

When creating your beach theme wedding invitation, here are a couple of things to keep in mind:

Invitations should be simple and to the point. Your invitation should inform your guests of the date, time, location and hosts of your wedding. You may also include reception information if you choose. (Reception to follow at...time, location)

Unless you are having a very formal wedding, pretty well anything goes with your invitation these days.
  • Lose those stodgy old formal verses, write your own.
  • Use your favorite clip art, photos or design your own graphics.
  • There is nothing saying your card has to be square. Make it in the shape of a seashell if you want to.
  • You could even design your invitations to look like theatre tickets, or dance tickets with a tear off stub for a "save a date" reminder!
  • Another popular idea is to use postcard for RSVP's. This saves you moneyon postage and envelopes.
The design of your beach theme wedding invitation will give your guests a glimpse of the tone of your wedding celebration. With that in mind, match your invitation to your theme! Do not send out seriously formal invitations to a beach party theme. Make sure your guests know what to expect!

Once you choose your design, keep it constant throughout your invitations, wedding programs and thank you cards.

Whether you're having a beach themed wedding on the beach or not, it is very important that your wedding decoration depicts what you have chosen as your wedding theme.

If you have picked the beach as your location for your upcoming wedding, then having the beach as the location alone is already a "decoration" in itself. You will just need to add some detailing for your wedding ceremony decorations and wedding reception decorations.

If you are planning a beach wedding, there are countless of ideas to choose from. What is so great in having a beach themed wedding is that the sun sets the mood for your wedding. At sunrise or sunset, it gives you an aura of calm, serene and romance. Plus the sun can definitely provide you a great background for your wedding photos!

1. Whimsical Beach Wedding Ideas

Do you love dolphins, sea turtles, star fish or mermaids? All of the above? You can come up with some great beach wedding theme ideas based on the creatures of the sea.

Your wedding dress could be mermaid style, ever so pale sea green. Weave pearls throughout your tousled hair. Have your "King Neptune" wear a white rayon shirt with a Hawaiian style lei of ivy and green slacks. If he is really into helping you with your theme, you might persuade him to wear the gold crown! I wouldn't count on it though! Your wedding party could be dressed in dark emerald green mermaid gowns and of course the flower girl would be the "Little Mermaid"!

Your wedding cake would be beautiful with green ivy and sea shells and decorations, invitations and wedding favors would be a breeze. There are oodles of ideas and places that offer items to fit this beach wedding theme.

Beach Wedding Additional Planning Guide

In addition to the rules regarding the use of beaches, you will find there are many other considerations you will need to take into account when planning this type of wedding. Here are some additional questions you should get answers for when organizing your beach wedding theme:
http://www.flickr.com/photos/fevisyu
  • How will you supply music for the  wedding ceremony and/or reception? If there is no electricity available for use with microphones or musical instruments, what are your alternatives?
  • What time of day do you wish to have your wedding - sunrise, sunset, or early morning? I would suggest you do not have a beach wedding during the heat of the afternoon. Not only would it be uncomfortably hot for many people, beaches tend to be crowded during this period of the day. Remember, it also cools down a lot in the evenings due to the breeze coming off of the water. Remind your guests to bring sweaters, jackets and some blankets just in case they are needed.
  • What is the tide schedule? How high does the tide get at that particular beach? You will need to plan your event time around the tides. The last thing you need is to have to suddenly pack up and leave because the tide is coming in and you didn't foresee this.

Check Rules and Regulations Regarding Beach Use

You will need to plan carefully for your beach wedding. There are many laws and regulations regarding the use of beaches and each varies according to the location you are in.

If it is just you, your mate and a marriage official, and two witnesses, then there shouldn't be any problems, for the most part.

However, you can't just tromp out onto the beach with a large party of people and have a wedding. You will first need to get permission to use the beach (even if it is public) and then determine what is and is not allowed.

The following are some of the questions that you will need answered so that you will have enough information at hand to make an informed decision regarding your beach wedding planning:
